THE ELECTRIC LAMP

As suggested by the name , an electric lamp is a device which simply produces light which is visible to you ! And it glows due to the heating effect of electric current !
WHO INVENTED THIS ?

Humphry Davy invented and created the first electric lamp and demonstrated it using many batteries and two charcoal roads in 1802 .
BUT , HOW WAS IT INVENTED ?

Humphry Davey experimented with electricity and invented an electric battery . When he connected wires to his battery and to a piece of carbon , the carbon glowed , hence creating the then-known Electric Arc Lamp .
THEN , WHAT’S THE PRINCIPLE BEHIND THE ELECTRIC LAMP ?

An electric lamp works on the principle of incandescence , meaning light that is produced by heat . In an electric lamp , an electric current is passed through a thin metal filament , heating the filament until it glows and hence , producing light .
Hence , this is the most fascinating invention of all time !
